Genetec, ASSA ABLOY to Market IP-based Locking Solutions Genetec has entered into a strategic partnership with ASSA ABLOY to ofer integration between its SMC intelligent IP door controller and the latest Wi-Fi and PoE electronic locks from ASSA ABLOY Group brands Corbin Russwin and SARGENT. Te SMC connects to both industry-standard door modules and electronic locks. When the devices are deployed with Genetec's video surveillance products, users can view Wi-Fi and PoE lock events and activities linked with live or recorded video. "Te integration will allow our customers to easily extend their existing access control infrastructure into hard-to-reach or inaccessible locations through Wi-Fi locks that do not require any wiring, as well as leverage their existing network cabling with PoE locks to simplifying installation and reduce costs," explains says Genetec's Jimmy Palatsoukas, senior manager of product marketing. Graybar Opens Branches in Michigan and Alabama Markets Graybar, a distributor of electrical, communications and data networking products and provider of related supply chain management and logistics 34 PEOPLE services, has been active opening a pair of new branches. Located in Graybar's Atlanta District, the new Decatur, Ala., facility will serve the Morgan and Lawrence counties in Alabama. And in the f rm's Chicago District, the new Kalamazoo, Mich., ofce will serve the Kalamazoo metro area as well as Branch, Calhoun, Kalamazoo and Van Buren counties in Michigan. OnSSI Extends Northeast Sales Channel With New Rep OnSSI has appointed Bongiorno & Associates (B&A;) Inc. as its new manufacturer's representative for areas in New York City, east central New Jersey and southern New Jersey. B&A; has a broad range of experience in servicing consultants, low-voltage structured cabling dealers, integrators, A/V dealers and electrical contractors. "Adding B&A; to our network gives us the opportunity to better serve the needs of existing customers as well as grow our Ocularis business through new relationships and market segments," says Brad Anderson, vice president of sales, OnSSI. MicroPower Technologies Closes $5.7M Equity Financing MicroPower Technologies, a provider of wireless surveillance solutions, has closed on a $5.7 million round of new equity f nancing, which will be used to fund expansion of its product development, sales and marketing activities. In January 2012, Motorola Solutions Venture Capital invested $6.5 million, the f rm's f rst equity investment. Most recently, he served as the director of sales at Security CAPULLI General Int'l Ltd (SGI). With more than 30 years of security industry experience, he has also worked in executive-level positions for Tyco, GVI-Samsung, Digital Security Controls and Tri-Ed. Secura Key promotes Charles Anthony to the position of vice president of sales and marketing. In his new position, Anthony will ANTHONY be responsible for the global sales and marketing effort across all product categories. He previously served as the frm's director of sales for access control. 3xLOGIC appoints Matthew Kushner as the company's CEO. Kushner's tenure in the security industry extends nearly 25 KUSHNER years. He has held executive leadership positions with industry-leading security companies including Telular Corp., Honeywell, TAC (a Schneider Electric company), Integral Technologies, and most recently CNL Software. Kushner will report to 3xLOGIC's Board of Directors.
