HOW TO How to Manage Visitors H ADVERTORIAL ow to manage visitors professionally and securely is an issue faced by many organizations today. HID Global's EasyLobby Secure Visitor Management (SVM) solutions address many of the outdated and inefective approaches to managing visitors. But unfortunately, many organizations still ask visitors to sign a paper guest book when they check into the building. While this method of keeping track of visitors is perceived as quick and easy, it provides very little security, and poses a number of other problems. HID's EasyLobby addresses the problems of using paper guest books with a modern approach to tracking, monitoring and reporting visitor activity. EasyLobby's software-based visitor management allows you to scan a visitor's license and create a professional visitor badge within 20 seconds per guest, no typing required. Security is improved because you are able to identify exactly who is in your facilities and the reason for their visit. EasyLobby visitor management solutions are used at thousands of installations around the world, including K-12 schools, colleges and universities, hospitals, utilities, large and small companies, federal, state and local agencies, military installations, and multitenant facilities. An example of EasyLobby in use is the installation at Trinity Real Estate, which manages a number of commercial multitenant facilities in Manhattan. Te solution allows tenants to preregister guests they know will be arriving by using a simple Web interface. By integrating the EasyLobby system with their access control system, the lobby attendant is able to provide guests with a visitor badge that will active doors, elevators and turnstiles controlled by the access system. Additionally, tenants can create "watch lists" of visitors who will not be permitted entry, and run reports about visitor volume and activity during specifed timeframes. Te EasyLobby software also allows Trinity Real Estate to easily monitor how many visitors are in the building at any given time. "Tis is especially helpful for fre-safety issues," said Lois Martano, www.securitysales.com/freeinfo/22238 38 / SECURITYSALES.COM / THE GOLD BOOK 2013 security technology manager at Trinity Real Estate. "We can tell exactly how many people are there and who they are. Tis was very difcult to do with the old system." EasyLobby is simple to learn and easy to install. With a rich set of features, it allows you to customize the system to ft your specifc requirements.
