Industry Pulse COMPANY NEWS ADS Security Enters Mississippi With Acquisition ADS Security has acquired the accounts and related assets of Golden Triangle Security Alliance in Columbus, Miss. T e acquisition marks ADS' entry into the state of Mississippi, the seventh state ADS now services in the southeast. Terms of the deal were not released. "ADS continues to expand into new markets across the southeast by looking for companies with a tradition of out- standing service to their customers, " says ADS President and COO John Cerasuolo. "Golden Triangle has built a strong busi- ness through superior customer service and we are excited to have the opportunity to establish our fi rst offi ce in Mississippi with a company of this quality." Guardian Alarm Expands Michigan Footprint With 2 Buys Guardian Alarm Co. has acquired Alert Alarm of Royal Oak, Mich., and Allstate Alarm Systems of Detroit for an undis- closed amount. T e deals add more than 3,000 residential and commercial accounts to Guardian Alarm's client base and bring in $72,000 in recurring monthly revenue (RMR). "One of the things that made these deals really attractive to us is that both compa- nies off ered the same alarm equipment that we install and service, so we didn't have to conduct any training," Guardian Alarm President David Goldstein tells SSI. DIY Security Provider Partners With Installation Firm Do-it-yourself solutions fi rm Swann Se- curity has teamed up with Boston-based InstallerNet to provide nationwide instal- lation services for Swann's residential and commercial video surveillance product line. Realizing that some customers don't want to install security systems on their own prompted Swann to work with Install- erNet, says Guy Pitchie, vice president of sales, Swann Communications USA. "Our market research tells us there is untapped demand for our products from people who don't have the time or perceive they don't have the skill to do- it-themselves," he says.
