"At Integration Logistics, we were looking for a way to continue to ISC East Returns Anew With Revamped Format NEW YORK — Call it nostalgia or call it good business sense, organizers of the Northeast security convention formerly known as ISC Solutions are gearing up for a new and improved return of the ISC East signature label. When fi rst announcing the name change this summer, Ed Several, senior vice president, ISC Events/ Reed Exhibitions, said consultations with sponsors, ISC attendees, exhibitors and industry associations led the organization to consider numerous improvements to keep the event current and compelling. "Over and over, people familiar with the show told us that 'We don't care what you name it, we call it ISC East, " Several explains. "T ey want it to be the East Coast version of ISC West for all segments of the security channel. T ey want a place where they can network with peers, meet their customers, see new products, and get relevant education to improve their skills. " ISC Solutions was a short-lived moniker and format. First introduced in 2010, Reed Exhibitions overhauled the convention and billed it as an application- and vertical-focused event. Still hosted at its long-time home, the Javits Center in New York City, the two-day convention will kick off Oct. 30. Featured will be more than 300 vendors exhibiting new products, technologies and services. A primary focus geared toward installing security contractors and specifi ers will be placed on retro-fi tting and updating to increase profi ts. Attaining business optimization will be a main theme for end users. Both concepts will be supported by key exhibitors and free education opportunities. Be sure to stop by and visit SSI at booth No. 1066.
