Joins Security-Net Security-Net, an organization comprised of independent integration services providers, welcomes Advantech Inc., a security systems integrator based in Dover, Del., as its 20th member. Advantech, which primarily focuses on the government, education, transportation and Homeland Security markets, will provide coverage in Delaware, Virginia and Maryland. "By joining Security-Net, Advantech instantly expands its footprint and the opportunity to provide customers with systems integration services no matter their location in North America," says Advantech President Eric Schaefer. Code Blue Moves Into New, Expanded Facilities Code Blue Corp., a provider of emergency communication solutions, has moved into a new 34,000-square-foot headquarters and production center. Code Blue's new headquarters and production center in Holland, Mich. Located in Holland, Mich., the facility is nearly twice the size of the company's former site. Construction was recently completed to upgrade the ofce space and production foor to meet its manufacturing needs. Diebold Hires Hewlett-Packard Vet to Help Turn Tide Diebold Inc. has hired former HewlettPackard Co. executive Andy Mattes to replace Tomas Swidarski, who was forced out in January amid weak earnings. Mattes most recently served as senior vice president of global strategic partnerships at Violin Memory, a data storage company. Diebold is going through a multiyear restructuring as it seeks higher proftability in North 16 / SECURITYSALES.COM / JULY 2013 PEOPLE America and abroad, with plans to trim $150 million in costs and 700 jobs. "I am excited to join Diebold and lead the company at such a critical time," Mattes says. "Te company has taken a number of signifcant steps to help rejuvenate its business, and I look forward to continuing this work as well as implementing new approaches to strengthen our prof le as a technology and service leader." Lenel Offers Solution for Endof-Life Casi-Rusco Systems Lenel Systems Int'l has launched a program to assist end users with end-of-life Casi-Rusco and Infographics legacy access control systems to migrate to its fagship OnGuard solution. Te migration is facilitated via frmware and open hardware options. "Lenel believes in ofering open systems to customers through hardware that is also supported by more than 20 access control software companies, and through software that integrates with more than 100 third-party partners and more than 200 products," says Joe Kirmser, president and general manager, Lenel Systems. Comcast Adds to Its Home Automation Portfolio Cable provider Comcast has launched Xfnity Home Control, a new product under the Xfnity Home umbrella of services. Te ofering is geared for customers who want solutions like video monitoring and the ability to either schedule or remotely access lighting and thermostat controls, but do not choose the professional monitoring that is ofered with other Xfnity services. Comcast also released a cloud-based energy management solution called EcoSaver. Once paired with the Xf nity Home thermostat, EcoSaver learns the unique heating and cooling patterns of a home. It then makes automatic and incremental adjustments to the thermostat based on real-time weather data and the temperature preferences of the occupants. PSA Security Network appoints Barbara Shaw as its new director of education. Shaw has worked in the industry since SHAW 1996 and holds a Certifed Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) credential from the American Society for Training & Development (ASTD) Certifcation Institute. She will report to PSA CEO Bill Bozeman. Select Security appoints Steve Firestone to the newly created position of executive vice president. Previously, FIRESTONE he held the titles of chief marketing offcer and executive vice president for Entergy Corp., and COO of Commonwealth Security. His former experience includes launching the consultancy, The Firestone Group. Liberty AV Solutions appoints Nick Buscemi as its new Great Lakes strategic accounts manager, giving BUSCEMI direction to territories including Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky. Based near Chicago, Buscemi comes to Liberty from Central Marketing Inc., an independent manufacturer's rep frm. The California Alarm Association honors Brian Fullhart of Interlogix with its 2013 Mark Schubert Memorial Award in FULLHART recognition of his volunteer service to regional and state trade associations. The award honors the memory of Mark Schubert, who promoted membership and participation in local and state associations.
