Increases were seen across all categories, but the biggest change from the prior period came in the other false alarms segment, which had been 14.8% of the total in 2010. This category includes bomb scares and other extreme circumstances. The most notable flip was in malicious/mischievous false calls, which had depicted a 10.9% decrease a year ago.
